CDCTA Safe Dressage and Combined Training
​Schooling Show
at Treasure Hill Farm, Salem CT
​Friday October 2-Sunday October 4

Welcome to the CDCTA October 2-4 Video Schooling Show.  This second event in our three show series has been adapted to provide a safe and healthy atmosphere for all competitors, participants, volunteers, and our host site.

Please take a moment and review the following information.
  • All riders will be individually scheduled over a three day weekend.  Tests and jump rounds will be videotaped on site at THF.  Videos will be completed by a designated club videographer and remotely judged.
  • Member Show Registration for active members is August 15th - August 31st.  Please make sure your membership is current.  It is not too late to become a CDCTA Member!
    • Non-Member Show Registration​: September 1st
  • CDCTA will be assigning ONE number to each horse and rider combination for the entire 2020 show season!  
    - Please store your number in a safe spot!
  • CDCTA will be video recording all the dressage tests from the judge's booth at "C".
    • Recordings will be judged, and tests mailed back to the Club to send to participants.
  • Paper tests and ribbons will be able to be picked up, delivered, or mailed to competitors (or to barns for groups of riders).
  • Attire is "tidy clinic." Braiding is not required.
  • Please, only one support person per rider- maximum (not including your trainer).
  • Masks are required when unmounted when social distancing of less than 6 ft. cannot be maintained.
    • No gatherings at other group's trailers, at the ring, or warm-up areas.

Ride Scheduling
  • The show will run Friday through Sunday 8am-5pm.  Please indicate your preference on the show entry form.
  • CDCTA will be scheduling ring time according to the table below:
    • One Test: 15 minutes
    • Two Tests: 30 minutes
    • Three Tests: 45 minutes
  • The times above is for your time in the dressage ring.
    • If you need additional warm-up time, there will be access to the grass area behind the dressage ring.
    • There should not be more than two horses in the warm-up area at a time.
  • Plan on 10 minutes of ring time per test for videoing.  
    • As in normal show, only one official recording of the test will be allowed.
  • Every attempt will be made to accommodate trainers with a group of riders or families.  Please schedule your entire group as early as possible.​
  • ALL COMBINED TRAINING TESTS WILL BE SCHEDULED ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD!

​What You Should Expect Day of Showing
  • Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our volunteers who will give you your bridle tag number, and direct you to a good parking location.
  • Tack up and proceed to the designated warm-up area, not more than one hour before your scheduled ring time.
  • Proceed to the dressage arena when the ring starter calls you to the ring.  You may do your test recording anytime during your scheduled ring time.
  • Tape your test(s) and Have a Great Ride!
    • ​Combined Training riders will have an assigned jumping time.  Please be ready to show jump at your time.
  • Please plan on untacking and traveling home as soon as you are able to.
  • There will be no access inside of Treasure Hill Farm's barn or indoor ring.

Our goal is to try to keep everyone safe.  Please maintain social distancing and follow other CDC guidelines and recommendations. 
**All entries and submissions will be paperless.  Payment by PayPal only.  There are no paper forms this year.**

CDCTA Member- $25/test
CDCTA Non-Member- $35/test

Combined Training:
CDCTA Member- $50/division
CDCTA Non-Member- $60/division 
*Extra Jumping Round: $10 in your division only, after the completion of your jumping test.  Payable the day of the show.

Office Fee-  $10 Non-refundable
Bridle Tag Fee- $1
  • If you have your bridle tag from July, you do not have to pay this fee again.
  • Pre-Elementary: 18” X-Rails  (USDF 2019 Intro Test B)
  • Elementary: 2’ Verticals- No Oxers (USDF 2019 Intro Test C)
  • Adv. Elementary- 2’3” with Oxers (USEA 2018 Beginner Novice Test A)
  • Beginner Novice- 2’7” (USEA 2018 Beginner Novice B)
  • Novice- 2’11” (USEA 2018 Novice Test A)
  • Training- 3’3” (USEA 2018 Training Test A)
