The CDCTA is a volunteer run non-profit, that is dedicated to promoting horse care and safety; encouraging classical training of the horse; offering instruction, education and competition opportunities; and recognizing the achievements of our members.

Some of what we offer:

  • Clinics - We run numerous clinics throughout the year in both dressage and combined training, with past Clinicians including Jimmy Wofford, Kerry Milllikin, Jane Ayer, Jorn Kulbelke, Max Gahwyler, Marcia Kulak, Sally Cousins and Wendy Olson-Lewis.  Members get reduced entry prices in all our Clinics as well as preference if a Clinic is oversubscribed.

  • Shows - The CDCTA runs two Schooling Dressage and Combined Tests each year, as well as a USEA/USDF Recognized Dressage Show in the Fall.  Members get reduced entry prices in all our Schooling Shows.

  • Year-End Awards - Every January we hold an Awards Luncheon at which we give out Awards to members in both Dressage and Eventing for both schooling (including one CDCTA Schooling Show) as well as recognized shows and events.

  • Scholarships - Quarterly Scholarships are available to members.  These may be used to attend a Clinic,Workshop or Seminar.

  • CDCTA Newsletter - The CDCTA newsletter is published 10 times a month (with combined Nov/Dec and Jan/Feb issues).  The newsletter keeps members up to date on activities and accomplishments of its members, as well as entry forms to our sponsored events.  Members can also receive free advertising in our Classifieds.  The Newsletter is now available by Email also!

  • Horseman's Yankee Pedlar - Free subscription to The Pedlar (for dues paid before May 1 of that year).  Benefits also include 1 free Classified Ad, 1 free Pedlar Prospect Ad as well as other benefits per year.

The CDCTA relies on its members to help support and run the numerous events that we run every year.  Members are given preference in Clinics that are oversubscribed, as well as reduced rates for all its Clinics and Schooling Shows.
